FAQ
Questions owners actually ask
Will callers know it’s an AI?
It sounds like a sharp, friendly front-desk person — natural pacing, real understanding, no robotic phone-tree menus. Call the demo line and judge for yourself. If a caller asks, it’s honest. Most just say “thanks” and book.
What happens if the AI doesn’t know an answer?
It only speaks from the knowledge you gave it — your services, prices, policies, and uploaded docs — with “never promise” guardrails. Anything outside that, it takes a message, creates a follow-up task, and can warm-transfer to you if it’s urgent.
Can I keep my existing number?
Yes. Forward your current number in minutes (the fastest path), port it in fully, or buy a new local or toll-free number. You own the line and can take it with you.
How does the free trial work?
Pick a plan and start a 7-day free trial (card required, charged nothing until day 8). You start on a trial line so you can test everything before going live. Cancel anytime before the trial ends and you pay $0.
How do you price minutes and texts?
Every plan includes pooled AI voice minutes, outbound SMS, and fax pages. Published overage rates — $0.40/min and $0.07/SMS with a $25 minimum refill — so there are no surprise bills. Inbound calls and texts are unlimited.
What’s the deal with SMS approval (10DLC)?
US carriers require business texting registration (called 10DLC). We built the registration into onboarding as a guided, self-serve flow — most businesses are approved in a few days, and your AI answers calls while you wait.
Is call recording legal?
Recording disclosure is built in and configurable per line, so callers are informed where required. You also get a consent log and opt-out audit trail for texting compliance.
Can my team use it too?
Yes — seats with owner/admin/member roles, shared text inboxes per line, per-teammate routing phones, internal team chat, and built-in video calls. Business plans include 5 users; extra seats are priced openly.
Does it book real appointments?
Yes. It offers times, books during the call, and syncs to Google Calendar automatically. Confirmation texts go out without you lifting a finger.
How long does setup actually take?
About five minutes: describe your business, pick a voice, forward your number. Most owners hear the AI answer their own line the same hour they sign up.
